Biography
Fernando has extensive experience working on complex projects and legal matters with respect to Mexico and Latin America. Fernando has advised a wide variety of companies in both domestic and international transactions involving the oil and gas sector, M&A, general corporate, aviation, cross-border transactions, antitrust, energy, real estate, and transactions with industrial, commercial, residential, and hospitality properties in Mexico and Latin America/Caribbean. Prior to joining Liberty GTS, Fernando was a corporate associate at Haynes and Boone LLP (Dallas) and previously practiced at different law firms in Mexico City. Fernando received his master of laws degree from Northwestern University School of Law and his juris doctor from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. Fernando also completed a Specialization in commercial law at the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City. Fernando is licensed to practice law in Mexico and Texas.
