Biography
Martin is the Head of Benelux for Liberty GTS. Prior to being appointed Head of Benelux, Martin was a senior underwriter based in Liberty GTS’ Netherlands offices. Since joining the Liberty GTS team in 2019, Martin has successfully deepened our relationships and strengthened our capabilities in the Benelux region. Martin has gained broad experience underwriting multiple complex, cross-border transactions across various sectors, from real estate through consumer services to industrials.
Martin obtained his LL.M. from the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands in 2012 and thereafter spent over four years at Dutch law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek as an attorney focusing on M&A and regulatory matters. Before joining the Liberty GTS team in 2019, Martin worked for three years at Intertrust Group, a trust, corporate and fund management services provider, in various positions with an emphasis on M&A and deal structuring. During that time he was seconded for one year to The Blackstone Group, working on projects in the Asia Pacific. Martin has lived and worked in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and is native in Dutch and English.
