Biography
Shonie is an Underwriter based in the Liberty GTS Netherlands offices focusing on M&A in the Benelux region.
Prior to joining Liberty GTS, Shonie practiced as a corporate lawyer both in private practice and in-house settings, lastly working in the Corporate, M&A and Takeovers team at Herbert Smith Freehills in Sydney, Australia. Shonie has extensive experience in cross-border transactions advising a variety of private equity and corporate clients in relation to mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures, fundraising and general corporate advisory matters. Shonie holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and Tilburg University (the Netherlands). Shonie is admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
